Due to its many facets, the region around the Achensee is not only the right destination to enjoy in summer, but also perfect in winter due to numerous cross-country ski runs and ski areas. In winter the landscape around the deep blue lake presents itself in its dreamlike white dress. Along the lake as well as from Pertisau into the small valleys there are cross-country ski runs – all in all the area around the Achensee shines with more than 200 cross-country ski run kilometres and is therefore one of the most important cross-country skiing centres in Tyrol.

Put on your skis right outside the front door? No, that’s not wishful thinking. Our house is located directly at the hotspot of the most beautiful cross-country ski runs in Tyrol. Along the lake as well as from Pertisau into the small valleys there are cross-country ski runs – all in all the area around the Achensee shines with more than 200 cross-country ski run kilometres and is therefore one of the most important cross-country skiing centres in Tyrol.

Skiing & Snowboarding

Skiers and snowboarders will find the finest skiing pleasure in four skiing areas on 53 kilometres of slopes at the Achensee. All skiing areas can be reached easily with the ski buses in the region.

Skitouring

Tourers will find their summit happiness at the Achensee with a fantastic view on the lake. From easy to difficult, there are many different tours around the Achensee. One of the probably most beautiful tours leads to the Bärenkopf at 1991m. Arrived at the summit, you will be rewarded with a fantastic view of the entire Achensee.

Sledding

Those who prefer sledding will also get their money’s worth. Five natural toboggan runs cover the spectrum from family-friendly to racy and challenging on 1.5 to 4.5 kilometers. Those who don’t want to exert themselves too much can take the lift to the starting point in Achenkirch and use the Rodlexpress in Pertisau for the ascent.

A special adventure: tobogganing at night. In Achenkirch you can always enjoy this fun on Wednesdays, at the other four toboggan runs throughout the week. The toboggan run in Achenkirch has even been awarded the “Tiroler Naturrodelbahn Gütesiegel” (Tyrolean natural toboggan run seal of approval) by the state of Tyrol.
